About Wendy Buck

Wendy Buck is a member of The Bead Society of Great Britain who has been a beadwork artist for 30 years. She regularly writes articles on the subject of beads and beadwork for their international magazine as well as articles on the subject for other British craft publications.

Wendy learned her skills in repairing modern and antique bead jewellery and beadwork from the diverse range of skills she was taught in the workshops of several bead shops she has been employed in over the years. An interest developed into a more academic study on the subject and her knowledge was incorporated into her BA degree in '3D Design & Craft' with the dissertation "On a Bead And a Prayer" about the context of language in beads. She continued her research into the subject further in a Masters in 'Fine Art' with the investigation of the 'Agency' of beads.
