The Minories Art Gallery, a grade II* building, Colchester’s oldest cultural home, has long been a place where art comes to life.

To safeguard the future of this historic building, we need your support.

The artworks in this exhibition have been donated for auction by artists who care about the future of the Minories. Each sale will help to fund essential repairs and keep the gallery alive for future generations.

Through your support, we honour not just the art itself but the space that nurtures and sustains it. This is an opportunity to ensure that The Minories remains a home for art, now and always.

Bidding will be open in person and via email between 10am 27th March 2025 and 5pm 25th April 2025. Any bids submitted outside of these times will not be accepted. The catalogue available for download from this page details the processes for both online and in-person bidding.

100% of the proceeds from sold artworks will go towards supporting the Minories Art Gallery via the We are the Minories charity (Registered Charity No. 1197486).

The bid amount does not include any transport costs. These will need to be covered by the buyer in addition to the selling price.

If the bidder does not respond to notification of the success of their bid within 7 days, the next highest bidder will be contacted.

The artwork cannot be collected or dispatched to the buyer until payment has been made in full.
